I didn't plan on becoming a Creative Strategist. Or making multiple 6 figures from it. I graduated with a journalism degree from a school nobody outside Canada has heard of. Got rejected from Columbia's master's program and did a $10/hour internship because it was the only job I could find.
I started charging $1,000 for website copy and thought that was huge money. Then a client asked me to write a paid ad I had no business writing. It worked. She offered me a retainer. Within months I went from $1K projects to $6.6K retainers. Then $10K. Then $30K months as a Creative Strategist.
The wildest part is I'd been doing $10,000 work for $1,000 the entire time, and I had no idea. I was the only woman in a $6K program full of men who were all charging 10x more than me. The only reason I figured it out is because I happened to be in that room.
I've now taught hundreds of women how to become Creative Strategists. Based in London, Lagos, Toronto, Sydney, New York, and everywhere in between. Some came from corporate jobs. Some from healthcare. Some from tech. Some had zero experience online.
